Paystack

Send a payment link, check whether it was paid, and start a workflow when a payment succeeds.

Paystack

Paystack takes card, bank transfer and mobile money payments in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa. luftflow uses it three ways:

  • Send a payment link makes a Paystack checkout page for an amount and an email address. The flow sends the page's address on, by SMS or WhatsApp.
  • Check a payment asks Paystack how that link's payment went: paid, failed, or not paid yet.
  • A payment succeeds starts a workflow each time Paystack confirms a charge, with the payer's email, phone, the amount and the reference.

Keys

Open the Paystack dashboard, then Settings → API Keys & Webhooks.

  • For staging, copy the test secret key (sk_test_…). Nobody is charged in test mode.
  • For live, copy the live secret key (sk_live_…).

Paste each into Connectors → Paystack in luftflow, and choose the country, which sets the currency.

Amounts

Write amounts in the currency's main unit, such as 250 for ₦250. The step multiplies by 100 for Paystack, which counts in kobo, pesewas or cents. The trigger's amount arrives the way Paystack sends it, in the smallest unit.

Starting a workflow when a payment succeeds

Choose A payment succeeds in Paystack under Change how it starts, then follow Set it up in Paystack. You paste one address per environment as the Webhook URL in the dashboard, in Test Mode for staging and Live Mode for live. Paystack signs every call with your secret key, which luftflow already holds, so there is no separate signing key. Only charge.success events start a run; Paystack's other events are answered and ignored, and a repeated event never starts a second run.
