Stripe
Send a card checkout link, check whether it was paid, and start a workflow when a checkout is paid.
Stripe
Stripe takes card payments, for teams with a Stripe account. luftflow uses it three ways:
- Send a checkout link makes a Stripe Checkout page for one item at an amount. The flow sends the page's address on, by SMS, WhatsApp or email.
- Check a payment asks Stripe whether that checkout was paid, is still open, or has expired.
- A checkout is paid starts a workflow each time a checkout is paid, with the payer's email, phone, the amount and the reference.
Keys
Open the Stripe dashboard, then Developers → API keys.
- For staging, copy the test secret key (
sk_test_…). Nobody is charged in test mode. - For live, copy the live secret key (
sk_live_…).
Paste each into Connectors → Stripe in luftflow and choose the country, which sets the currency. Give the page payers return to after paying, such as your own thank-you page.
Amounts
Write amounts in the currency's main unit, such as 25 for $25. The step multiplies by the account's smallest units in one, 100 for most currencies, because Stripe counts in cents. For a currency Stripe counts whole, such as jpy, set it to 1. The trigger's amount arrives the way Stripe sends it, in the smallest unit.
Starting a workflow when a checkout is paid
Choose A checkout is paid in Stripe under Change how it starts, then follow Set it up in Stripe. Add an endpoint under Developers → Webhooks for the event checkout.session.completed, then paste its signing secret (whsec_…) on the setup page. luftflow checks Stripe's signature and its time on every call. Only paid checkouts start a run, and a repeated event never starts a second run.
