Connectors

What a connector is, how your team connects one, and how a flow or workflow uses it.

A connector is a service wrapped as steps you can pick from a list: take a payment with MTN Mobile Money, add a row to a Google sheet, post to a Slack channel. The steps know the service's API, so a flow or a workflow says what it wants done and never how.

Connecting one

Connectors lists every service luftflow speaks to. Open one and press Connect to enter the provider's keys once for the whole team; staging and live each keep their own, so you can try with sandbox keys and run with live ones. Only admins and owners can connect a service, and a connector's page shows which flows use it.

A service that is not built yet shows Request. Teams ask, and the most asked-for are built first.

Using one in a flow

Once connected, the connector's actions appear among the steps a screen can run, beside your own API calls. An action's answer lands in a name you choose, and the screens after it read that name like any other, as Variables and phrases describes. A connector that can start something, such as a paid order or a message from a customer, can also start a workflow.

Your own API

New connector turns your own API into steps of the same kind, written in the same YAML luftflow's connectors are built from, so the people drawing flows pick a named action instead of writing a call by hand.

The pages that follow describe each built connector: what it can do, what the provider asks for, and how to try it before going live.
